Supporting you on your journey with HIV
Whether you're newly diagnosed or have lived with HIV for some time, we're here to support you with resources to help you live well—covering practical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
To find out more about our peer support groups, our residential retreats and our peer support network around the country.
We also help people living with HIV on a 1-2-1 basis.
Resources for church & community
By using this resource you have already begun to listen and reflect prayerfully upon what you and your church community can do. We hope that you will find this resource helps you to grow in faith yourself, and enable you to extend God’s love and compassion to those sisters and brothers who are living with HIV.
Resources for healthcare professionals
70% of all people living with HIV in the UK say they are religious or spiritual, of whom 49% say that their religion is fairly or very important to them. Of all people living with HIV 52% identify as Christian. We provide resources & support for healthcare workers who wish to engage with the faith community and help improve health outcomes for their service users.
We work closely with secular organisations to deliver training on faith matters, increasing awareness of faith matters in the HIV sector, and helping secular organisations to achieve meaningful engagement with Christian communities.
The main ministry of Catholics for AIDS Prevention and Support (CAPS) is a peer support network of women and men living with HIV who also have a Christian faith. The network is called PositiveFaith.
